The Sweetest Place on Earth. Experience it yourself. Drive under the protected entrance to The Hotel Hershey. Let the valet park your car. Walk past the front desk with its photos of amiable benefactors Milton and Catherine Hershey. Take the elevator up one level to the Fountain Lobby, festively decorated. Projected onto the ceiling will be the illuminated image of Gerald Charles Dickens in his top hat and the words, A Holiday with Dickens. Set in the middle of the Fountain Lobby will be the most sumptuous and artistically arranged Tea scones, sandwiches, and sweets. Remember, this is Hershey! Your private reserved table awaits.
Or book an advance dinner reservation that evening in the Circular Dining Room. Gerald Charles Dickens uses the entire room as his stage, performing around its stunning centrally placed Christmas tree. Four lavish meal courses, with his Christmas Carol performance interspersed among the courses. The projected light will cover the ceiling. Grandparents and their granddaughter from New Jersey are among those who have made the Dinner with Dickens a tradition for eight years.
Find Dickens' new Christmas Carol CD among Dickens books, gifts and collectibles available for sale at display tables in the Fountain Lobby.
If time allows, spend a night at The Hotel Hershey. Accept your welcome Hershey candy bar on check-in. Allow time for a spa delight, perhaps a Cocoa Bath, with more time to drink spring water and eat Hershey kisses in the purified air room.
